Greens & Grows exists for people who like the idea of plants more than the chaos of bad advice.

A lot of gardening content is either too vague to be useful or so expert-heavy that beginners bounce off it in the first two paragraphs. We built this site to sit in the middle: warm, clear, practical, and honest about what actually matters.

Our editorial approach

1. Beginner clarity first

We favor plain English, strong headings, short sections, and fast answers near the top. If something is finicky, we say so.

2. Trust over hype

We do not treat every plant or product like a miracle. If a plant is a poor fit for beginners, small spaces, low light, or inconsistent care, we’d rather tell you directly.

3. Safety context matters

When a topic overlaps with pet toxicity, child safety, allergies, mold, or garden chemicals, we try to flag that clearly. Internet advice is never a substitute for a qualified local expert, poison resource, vet, or extension office.

4. Editorial and monetization stay separate

Some pages include affiliate links, and the site may include clearly labeled ads in the future. That does not change our editorial standards. We prefer fewer, more relevant recommendations over stuffing pages with junk.
